任國棟，（Prof.& Ph.D. REN Guo-Dong），男，漢族，1955年11月生，理學博士、教授，博士生導師。河北大學特聘教授/坤輿優秀學者、博士生導師，國家級專家。長期致力于昆蟲系統學與多樣性領域的研究，包括物種起源分化、形態進化、分子進化、防御腺進化、昆蟲分泌物化學、區系分布格局與適應性、種系發生和生物地理學等，以及家蠅工程生態養殖和昆蟲甲殼素及其衍生物研發等。迄今為止開拓性開展了中國20多個未知昆蟲科級類群的系統學研究，從進化角度探索其種系形成和適應進化；在區域昆蟲地理區劃、昆蟲區系分布和昆蟲適應性方面提出了一些新觀點；累計發現和命名昆蟲新分類單元1亞族、4屬、3亞屬、514種；主持各級各類科研項目73項（國家級34項，省部級20項，其他19項）；出版學術著作44部（主編14部，參編30部）；發表學術論文及科普文章501篇（SCI 近100篇）；獲得省級科技成果獎8項（二等獎2項，三、四等獎6項）；指導的9項課外科技作品分別榮獲全國大學生“挑戰杯”科技競賽獎（一等4項、二等2項，三等2項），獲全國大學生“創業杯”競賽銅獎1項。
